Hello All,
As we all know that working out, doing cardio, eating right/healthy and getting sleep at night is extremely important to our workout goals and progressions, there are also health tips/benefits besides working out and exercising to help us feel better. These would be both Relaxation and Meditation periods where the human body can rest their muscles up, clear their mind and put all else aside to have a clearer mental state rather than progressing on their workouts/routines with stress, anxiety and pressure. Meditation allows one to be at peace with themselves, to put all aside, clear your mind, not think about anything, listen to peaceful music and let your body and mind become one as you slip into a pure form of relaxation, relieving you of stress, worries, pain and anxieties you might be having from the outside world such as work, friends/family issues, workout stress or any other worries that could be plaguing your mind.
I try to mediate/relax for about an average of either 30 minutes to even an hour at a time per day or ever other day depending on how much time I have during the day and what is going on, this can either be before I head to work when I wake up, when I get home from the gym, or before I go to bed (especially during the work week) or during the weekend at any point that I may feel stressed out and uncomfortable, thus needing that bit of time to myself to clear all thoughts and stress to just relax and be at one with myself.
Though Meditation and clearing your mind might be difficult especially in the day of age that we live in today, the outcomes are very relieving and beneficial for you, your well being and state of mind. It does take time and patience to finally get your mind clear of all thoughts but when you finally feel that ultimate form of euphoria, that ultimate relaxation, the feeling is beyond worth it and all thoughts, cares and worries are thrown away.
Here are a few songs/ambient tunes that I typically listen to while mediating or while at work when I am stressed and new a few seconds to just relax and mellow out
