Hello, just joined JEFIT. I forgot where I saw it as a recommendation but I downloaded on my Android and I stopped carrying my clip board to the gym and bring my phone now. I love the interface and using the app to track my sets and reps. I'm using the default JEFIT Bulking Beginners routine and so far so go (2 days, how hard could it be) Based on the recommendation of JEFIT I've done my first barbell work, prior to this I was using dumbbells and free motion machines. Since JEFIT recommended it, it gave me the confidence to try Deadlifts, Squats, Bench Press, Incline Bench Press and Decline Bench Press. What I found ... hey we all have to start some where right?

I started Dec 2011 working out again. I saw no changes for the first 5 weeks then in the second 5 weeks I've lost 13 lbs and 4% body fat. I feel stronger and healthier and have a long way to go.

My goals:
Reduce body fat from 30 to 14% by end of 2012
Muscle and strength gains in chest, arms, shoulders and back.

My largest struggle right now is not motivation, I got plenty of that. It is nutrition. I'm on information overload and trying to figure out to Carb or not to Carb, what calories I really should be eating and when, etc. I know there is difference between trying to gain muscle (bulking) and trying to lose the fat (cutting). I just want a simple formula.

Take care and hope to meet you soon.

Welcome to the site! Here's another recommendation for you: check out www.myfitnesspal.com (http://www.myfitnesspal.com). They have a great food tracking app. That plus JEFIT makes life a little easier. There's several of us using MFP. Feel free to add me on there: The Deviation.
