Nice, but both you guys seem to be missing a song, I'm a little shocked! Mine is still in the works.
Survivor - Eye of the tiger (youtube it, I need more posts to post links)

I listen to quite a bit and if not in the mood just skip the song. I have around 5000 songs including "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. LOL
I typically like to listen to rock when working out; hard rock. Bands like Three Days Grace, Art of Dying, 12 Stones, RED, Skillet, Alter Bridge, Creed, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet Proof Messenger, Rains, Ra, Chevelle, Crossfade, Digital Summer, Element Eighty, Evans Blue, Five Finger Death Punch, Fort Foot Echo, Harem Scarem, Hinder, Linkin Park (agreed, older stuff), Neverset, Papercut Massacre, Shinedown, Since October, Smile Empty Soul, Submersed, Theory of a Deanman, Nickleback, Thousand Foot Crutch, Trapt, Trust Company, Tupelo Honey, 10 Years, 32 Leaves, etc.

Ohhh "Eye of the Tiger" haha, well that is a classic song that gets people motivated, of course going Rocky style on your workouts.
I love seeing fellow metal heads and those who enjoy the hard rock music lifting and using rock to get motivated for lifting. Its great music to listen to and to get your blood pumping and flowing and nothing beats an fast-paced guitar/drum solo right in the middle of a bench press or bicep curls. Mid-lift intensity is what we all need to make those gains.
I do enjoy rap but mostly hip-hop like Jurassic 5 and The Roots but rock and metal are what needs to be blaring the gym to get that tension and anger out and take it out on the weights

While I posted my play list, I just wanted to point out that I don't listen to music to motivate me. I listen to music to fill the air with something other then silence. To me it doesn't matter what is playing as long as there is noise. I have been lifting for over 13 years and am self motivated. Not doing anything is motivation enough to get me to lift. Just throwing that out there.
My gym has wifi, so I stream Pandora internet radio. My mix a is combination of some metal/hard rock (Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Breaking Benjamin, Pantera, Rob Zombie, etc.) and electonic music (DJ Baby Ann, DJ Icey, other drum 'n' bass, jungle, breakbeats).

Pandora is a cool internet radio. I used to use this all of the time; found a lot of new groups this way as it tries to match what music style you like. Then you have the option of "yes" I like and find more like it or "no" don't like. Unfortunately they found out I'm not from the US from my IP address so after years of use they blocked me. It seems they don't have rights in Canada but are working on it; and have been for years as they have never moved ahead. Worth taking a look at.

I love pandora as sometimes I get bored of listening to the same album over and over again and just looking for bands with that sound which will get me pumped up for my workouts.
That is lame that they dont have the rights in Canada just yet because after the few years that pandora has been out, you would think that those rights would have been bypassed and taken care of already but its extremely beneficial to have while lifting so that you don't have to listen to the Top100 radio station that many radio stations play which only contains lady gaga, kesha and all of the crap music that is out today.
Sometimes it honestly makes me want to lift in pure silence so I can focus on breathing rather than hearing Lady GaGa with Born this way about 100000 times over and over again... my lord haha.
Must admit though techno and electronic music is my guilty pleasure while lifting, many people find it nerdy but my god some of the beats are ridiculous, ie - Celldweller, Pendulum, Daft Punk, Andy Hunter, Justice and Bonobo

I've got to admit, being a teenager i am into hip hop music and stuff like it (not justin bieber, lady gaga etc, i mean more rap type music), but ive got a freind that is a few years older who listens to music from films, as the music for a car chase or something is fast paced and he says that helps him concentrate on his breathing and motivates him to a bit more than he otherwise would, for example i caught him listening to this the other day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPZcPfzKn_U

Ohhh yeah I love listening to Fort Minor in the gym as well, Remember The Name is just one of those songs that get you pumped up and wanting to push those weights harder and harder and gives me a reminder of old Linkin Park where Mike Shinoda used to rap and get his game on, now Linkin Park and sometimes himself sound like crap but Fort Minor kicks up that beat a notch and then some

One song that gets me going is Linkin Park's Given Up. Hmm. Time to refresh the playlist.
I will say that I've noticed that slower music gives me a better work out (on non-cardio days). I read an article by Henry Rollins where he mentioned that he works out to ballads. Gave it a try. Oddly enough it does work for me.

Listen to my Tech N9ne Radio station on Pandora. It is the right blend of rap and rock. Get me in beast mode and helps push out those last reps.

Used to love Pandora, but they seem to have a few more ads these days. Kind of annoying. Same with Slacker. I know you can pay for either, but I'm cheap.

Mehhh I don't like paying for services either like this, I mean I know its beneficial to keep the company alive but with an advertisement after every 3 songs, it does get tedious and I just turn back to my ITunes to listen to music. Also the one thing I hate is how you type in a specific band that you want to hear and sometimes Pandora gives you a song that is completely opposite to what you have asked/looked for.

I must say so myself, my workout playlist includes some bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Disturbed (some of their stuff), Five Finger Death Punch (Love 'em!), Godsmack, Korn, Lamb of God, Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Slipknot, Stemm (Great Hard Rock/Metal band, I didn't see a whole lot of people mention them, you should give them a looking into), Throwdown, Volbeat.
Although I must say, some of my favorite songs, that I don't have in bulk from an album/artist, are; Valleys - Close Your Eyes, We Were Men - Theory of A Deadman, Soldiers - Otherwise, Bury Me With My Guns - Bobaflex.

I agree with the metal. Or any heavier music. Although a well placed techno song as Robertogo mentioned can make a big difference. Have to agree with Daft Punk but Ill add Prodigy and Depeche Mode. If you really want nerdy though listen to a classical piece like chariots of fire.
But lately working out at home I put some cool tv series on the tv. Keeps me entertained as I used to get bored and then not exercise as hard as I should. I particularly love watching stuff like the ultimate fighter/making the cut/bully beatdown/the contender. I find all fight series and movies somewhat motivational.
