As a Intern at JEFIT and bodybuilder of around 5-6 years, I have gone through vast amounts of various pre-workout supplements ranging from Muscletech products to BSN to USPLabs.

To rate it I would have to say for pre-workout as well as nutritional wise and best for your health and workouts that

1.) USPLabs Jack3d (Cleanest, purest and best pre-workout supplement to date, no fillers or maltodextrin which stores fat on you and other chemicals)

2.) BSN NO-XPLODE

3.) Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump250

3.) Black Powder

4.) NO Shotgun

5.) Muscletech NA-NO Vapor Hardcore

and then there are lower end and lesser known which are pretty good

-Cytonox
-JETFUSE Nox
-HEMORAGE
-GNC Brand NO-Amplifiers

and the list goes on and on but for the best Pre-Workout and the one with the least amount of chemicals and fillers and ingredients is USPLabs Jack3d. 1 scoop will surely get you lifting like a madman and give you a sufficient amount of energy.

I myself drink about 3 cups of coffee a day and have taken NO products since I was 18 (I'm now 22); I have tried EVERY supplement for NO out there and pretty much was the guinea pig for my school gym (Philadelphia University) and have to say out of all of the ones I got the best energy from was USPLabs Jack3d and NO-Xplode.

For everything else your paying for from Muscletech to other big brand names you are paying for the name and that it is, you get 2 pounds of fillers and chemicals that will destroy your body and kill your system from the inside.

For Jack3d you pay 20$ for a 45 day supply (Which is remarkable and a complete money saver) and it gives you muscle pumps and energy to keep you going even when you think you cant lift anymore.

I recently just bought C4 Extreme by Cellucor and it comes today and stacking that with USPLabs Yok3d NO-Enhancer which is supposed to be an insane stack.

So in all honesty I would try Jack3d, nothing else compares right now and has the least amount of chemicals and fillers and is almost as pure to NO as you can get, plus it has the best reviews of ANY NO-product out there.

Stack it with 100% Pure Whey protein either from generic GNC brand or 100% Optimum Nutrition Whey and then if you want Creatine (But that destroys your kidneys and liver).

Do an NO, Protein and Fiber stack and without a doubt you will see results. (I used to weigh 290 pounds my freshman year of college and by sophomore year of college I weighed a good 180 just from intense bodybuilding and working out for 2 - 3 hours a day on stacks like these, did creatine and other products as well but cant complain)

Here's my current workout stack (doesn't include daily intake)

60 minutes before workout: 1-scoop whey
20-30 minutes before workout: 1-dose N.O. 370 or Cytonox (3-servings)
During workout: Allmax Aminocore or Pro-Performance AMP Endurance Booster
Immediately after lift: Cytocell
15-minutes after workout: 2-scoops whey

What would you guys recommend for someone who cant take NO products? I can't take stimulants like that because I was on adderall for a long time and it screws with my heart and makes me feel like crap. It actually takes away from my workout. So, minus NO products and stuff like that what kind of protein/mass builders would you recommend?

I would recommend getting over the idea that you need a N.O. product. You don't need it.

Well for pre-workout supplements and using NO, at times it can be dangerous but many pre-workouts (currently I am using Muscle Pharm Assault) contain caffeine, creatine and NO boosters that increase your blood flow throughout your body so that you cant lift more and get that extra energy to lift for more reps and for more weight than you originally felt you ever could. Those for myself personally would say are the benefits of pre-workout supplements.

Many others even myself can suggest to just have a cup of black coffee right before you lift so that you dont have any side effects from certain pre-workouts.

There are those you have to be careful of that increase your heart rate dramatically but many others can increase the blood flow and oxygen flow throughout your body which can help attain gains which you might be seeking.

There are a few NO boosters that do not have any caffeine. The only one I can remember off the top of my head is Caffeine-Free NO Xplode.

Yeah they just released the new Caffeine-Free NO Xplode a few months ago for those who are Caffeine sensitive. It provides the same effect that regular NO Xplode would but doesn't contain the caffeine or provide the crash as the regular does, which is great. One of the negatives of many NO products is that there is a significant amount of caffeine pumped into the formula that after you work out and lift, you are susceptible to crashing instantly.

Here is a list of the various caffeine free NO products that I have found

MyoGenix Hyper Shock Pre-Workout
Caffeine Free NO Xplode
Caffeine free ragnarok
Animal Pump (minus the red pill)
Dymatize Nutrition Caffeine-Free Xpand Xtreme Pump Powder
Science Defined Nutrition Ruthless Caffeine Free Watermelon
Napalm Xtreme Pre-Workout Formula Fruit Punch Blast

NO drinks are my favorite pre-training supplement. Trying Jack3d at the moment and so far I'm impressed. Started with NO Xplode and since then I tried many different ones. Warrior Rage is my number one choice for NO supplement, but only had Jack3d a couple of days so will see if that can change my mind. I also have whey protein and/or weight gain drinks and am trying out D Aspartic Acid to see if that helps.

I liked jack3d and NO Xplode was actually my first pre-workout drink that I have ever had, I don't know what it is about pre-workout supplements but its just that initial burst of energy that you get, that intense feeling that you get that you just want to go into the gym and tear it up like a beast without any regard to your body at all. It just gets me all the time and I feel like I am unstoppable.

The one thing I don't like about Jack3d though is it just feels like its a caffeine stimulator and that is all you get out of it where as with Muscle Pharm Assault, NO Xplode and SuperPump 250 I was getting that PUMP that I was looking for, like no weight was too heavy for me and I could lift past my limits, not that jittery/shaking feeling. Right now I am looking for a pre-workout that gives me tunnel vision and keeps me in the zone, I haven't found one that has done that since NO Xplode and Superpump and truly looking for one that can give it to me now (I know that sounds weird haha)

Not surre i missed this in earlier part of the thread but what do people recommend as a good post workout supplement. This may sound silly.....but i would like something preferably not another protein shake as i use this before workout but something that will help muscle build after workout. I''m trying to get cut and stay lean!!! :-)
