June 2011 goals: Work out daily, log diet and exercise in this thread, and make using JEFit a habit.
French toast x2, scrambled egg, 1 cup coffee
Did you put syrup or powdered sugar on the toast? If so, what kind and how much?

Nope, dry. One of the girls made it and put syrup on hers, but eating it together with the scrambled eggs was a good combo for me.

Jumping Jacks 2x50, in memory of Jack LaLanne. Surprised to find them absent from the list in the Android app, but I figured out the Custom DB and added them. Adding them as cardio didn't work though since I want to track reps rather than time, so I classified them as a lower leg exercise. Uncomfortable after 35, pushed to 50. Figured out Sync too, which works great.

Jumping Jacks another 2x50, so 4x50 for the day.

45 min fun outdoor swim, not a lap swim where I would track distance.

1 chicken & sour cream enchilada with jalapenos from the local Mexican joint and a little Pom Blueberry with my water. I drink lots of water so I won't usually log it.

31/M 5'10" and just weighed in at 226.8 pounds. Weight fluctuates, of course, so I'm not pretending to accurately track tenths of a pound, but the weights will all be from the same scale in the same place with no rounding. It's been going down, which is good, but if my waistline shrinks and the weight stays the same, I'm happy with that, too.

OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT BMI TARGETS
"Obese" becomes "Overweight" at 209 pounds.
"Overweight" becomes "Normal" at 174 pounds.

2 more meals to round out the day, both made better by the pico de gallo I bought. The first was a ground beef and cheddar cheese enchilada and the second was 2 small fried catfish fillets, a dozen french fries with spicy brown mustard, cole slaw, and pickled green tomatoes.

Guess I'm mildly overweight by those targets. LOL If you're planning on adding muscle mass, BMI goes out the window.

True, BMI does suck somewhat. Which is why I want to track measurements. Which is why I'm stopping by the hardware store today to get a good flexible tape measure.

Lunch meeting at a buffet. Late breakfast is a fruit bowl (apple and banana) so I'll be sensible, not starving. "Getting your money's worth" at a buffet is usually a bad idea.

Found pico at the buffet so that goes on chicken and broccoli pasta. Green beans with onions. Zucchini.

Kept myself to one salad plate at the buffet. Success! But the tape measure I want isn't at the hardware store. The Internet says Walmart or a fabric store. Off to find it.

Found the tape measures at Walmart by the fabric. They're made by Prym and measure 60 inches but they had a 120 inch one too. The small retractable one comes in a red case but it's VERY LOUD when it unspools. The regular quiet one should do a fine job. Measurements soon.

Into the oven goes an 1800 calorie pizza. DiGiorno Ultimate Supreme (Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red onion, green & red peppers), added jalapenos, basil, oregano, and black pepper.

So the cardboard was still on the bottom. Oops. The good news is that I didn't burn the house down. The bad news is that the crust isn't cooked. Or is that a good thing? I spooned the toppings into a bowl and they taste great, so that's my meal. The crust is pretty thick too. Not sure how many calories I saved.

A little over half an hour of aerobic step watching my Mavericks. Gotta get some more paper pushing done before I crash. Waist at its biggest point and just after I eat is now 48 inches. More measurements later.

Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts (no peanuts) 60 calories. For those of you who are bored reading this and want to know what I can lift, I'm heading to the Downtown Shreveport Y. Walking across a half-mile bridge over the Red River is how it begins and ends. Good times.

Swam a couple of laps but didn't get into a rhythm because whatever clouded up the saltwater pool was hell on our eyes. I'll start bringing goggles in case it happens again. Met an old friend on the way back from the gym so that was cool. Now I'm back home.

Skipped breakfast. Sonic lunch. Blazin' BBQ burger and a regular strawberry malt.

Only had half the malt. Rich! So 7 ounces instead of 14.

Calorie count: 1120 for the burger + 260 for the malt = 1380 so far for the day.

OK, no more salad kits. I had the Pear Gorgonzola salad without the dressing and with a little cheddar cheese. Could have done without the dried pear because it was too sweet from the sugar they added. I can get more out of fresh fruits and veggies, and they will taste better. No more lettuce either.

Half hour of step. Dinner was ground turkey (520 calories) in a cast-iron skillet with some vegetable oil, black pepper, and a little Prego Heart Smart Traditional spaghetti sauce. Low carb I suppose.
