For purely entertainment sakes... In your opinions what are the most dreaded excercises? Everyone has different routines. However, there is always an excercise or two people are not excited for. What excercises do you do that you go, "Aww Crap."

I HATE shoulder presses. With a passion. Doesn't matter if it's a dumbbell or barbell. Hate 'em.

Leg press/squat are mine aswell, even if the actual exercise goes well, the lack of strength in my legs after i finish an try to walk and nearly fall is enough to make me hate it!
Even worse when the way out of my gym/to the water is up a slant which is not fun to walk up with wrecked legs! haha

See I love squats and deadlifts. Granted I feel like I have jello legs afterwards. I really get focused when I'm doing them. Maybe that's why.

I understand on those... the jello legs is very valid and i can see the shoulder presses. Squats suck period haha so to true on that one. Mine honestly is Weighted Bench Dip... especially afterwards knowing you can take my arms and beat myself with them!

Rotary ab machine or dumbbell side bends - I love working out my abs, but these are always a source of disgust and hatred for me.

Side bends are rough! Abs hurt for days after those.

Haha rubber arms, people coming up to you "Stop Hitting Yourself!" and pretty much knocking you senseless.

I hate that jello leg feeling because after getting up either from the leg press or squat and then collapsing isn't soo much fun at all. The pump to your legs feels great but when you have to walk up the stairs to your apartment, up a hill or anything else along those lines, that is a testament to your motivation and strength, though your jello legs wont want to do it at all

I now formally retract this statement. It is now pullups. I completely suck at pullups. Tried them for the first time (as part of the routine) today. First set: 6, second set: 5, third set: 3, fourth set: just stared at the bar... I'm weak as hell with these.

For most of the exercises mentioned on this thread I have had hate moments…I found though that my hate came mostly from not doing the exercise properly because of my lack of experience. I just started lifting seriously November 2010. I had researched for a few weeks, picked a strength program, and then over the first 2 months struggled with (and felt) the effects of working out on my body, some negative. I had aching wrists and ankles, calluses, and lots of soreness in areas that I didn’t realize I had worked. I dreaded some of the exercises. As I researched more and tried to correct I learned that something that looks as simple as a squat has many nuances that if not known and understood, can really make it hellish while doing and especially after…you would think that would have been obvious to me earlier on.

Anyway, sometime around the 3rd month, I made a point of focusing on form which immediately improved some of the negative things I was experiencing and not too long after resulted in noticeable gains that I had been hoping for. I know now the way I should feel during and after lifting and getting it right makes me love it.

Once dreaded now loved exercises:
Squat
Deadlift
Bench Press
Clean

I love squats as well. Just started regular deadlifts (was doing SLDL) this morning. That's a rough one, but I love it. Makes me sweat like no other.
