Finally sold my old weight bench. Had it for about 8 years but it mostly collected dust. Which left in a bit of a bind since I kinda need one for bench presses.

Hahah I love the Men in Black reference, out with the Old and Busted and bring in that New Hotness
Im not going to lie that at my house (parents house in NY) I had the old hotness as well, the same exact one but the one thing with mine is that I guess it couldn't hold more than 250lbs for my bench press plus my body weight so my bench broke and I was stuck doing decline chest bench press, the entire bench just snapped in the back because of the weight haha. That is awesome and a beautiful piece of hardware you got yourself there and I congratulate you. I hope you first workout on the new hotness was a beneficial one!

LOL I think mine was rated at 600lbs flat including person. Mine never declined right so I didn't use it that way. This one I think I can bench press a garbage truck on it. It's ridiculously heavy. Lifetime warranty as well.
I got to try it out today. Bench press, incline flies, and decline crunches. Love it so far. I will say the padding isn't as soft as the BodySolid one I was looking at. But the adjustments and overall length are better though. The seat and the back adjust using their "banana cam". Was great doing incline flies without feeling like I'm going to slide off.
And decline crunches are awesome. First time I've been able to do them.

Also got a book called "Strength Training Anatomy". http://www.amazon.com/Strength-Training-Anatomy-3rd-Frederic-Delavier/dp/0736092269
Pretty nice reference. Got it for free so I can't complain. :)

Not bad not bad at all, seems like you got yourself a quality product right there. The one thing that I always get worried about is that padding because when you are doing the bench press and have that weight upon you, you want to have that cushion so that you aren't hurting your shoulder blades or injuring your back at all in the process. Ewww decline crunches.... haha those are the worst but feel great after a while when you see definition in places you never knew you had muscle in haha.
Free book?! Sign me up haha, helps you get the most out of your lifts in the process, try new workouts, make a killer routine and helps you target each muscle properly and perform your sets the right way.

It's pretty nice so far. Has pages on common injuries, stretching techniques, etc. Fully illustrated. I'll definitely get some use out of it.

Strength Training Anatomy is an amazing book - it is art as far as I am concerned. Not because it has any crazy new information in it, just because it is a great visual reference and it always gives me ideas for something to do when I'm stuck in a rut. Illustrations are amazing too. And I like the new addition, it looks good and sturdy - some FID benches are cheesy but it looks like that one has nice thick tubes - enjoy!

It's sturdy for sure. I jumped onto it from the floor as a test. Didn't budge. :D
That book has been great for the short time I've had it. The illustrations are just amazing. I'd advise anyone without it to pick up a copy.
