Okay this is too easy. so far so good.
My appetite is much healthier, I dont constantly crave food.
My gym routines are going fine and strength levels are good.
What I need to do going forward
I need to introduce cardio at least twice a week
I need to keep watching my daily calorie intake and be sure to meet my nutrition goals.
I am just over 1 week on the Keto diet and I feel this is really going to work for me. I am really looking forward to posting some progress pics somewhere around 4-8 weeks in.
I have read some other Keto logs and advice, it seems some people get the brain fog two weeks in so whilst I am currently flying the road ahead maybe hard.
Breakfast
2 x 50gm Whey protein shakes
2 tbps of flax Oil
Snack
almonds
Lunch
2 microwaved eggs with 30gm of Milled organic Flax seed
4 slices of Ham
afternoon snack
Avacodo
Dinner
200gms of freshly frozen Cod
100gm of Broccoli
80gms of petitie pois
Possible Additional Food (depending on what I need to make up my daily nutrition)
100ml of coconut milk and 30gm of walnuts
Cottage cheese
Bacon
More Protein shake

Holy Mofo, I am working out of the office today and grabbed a cheeky mars bar, I added it into myfitnesspal and each abr contains 40gm of carbs, my daily target is 30gm.
I have been really disciplined so have earned myself some grace but honestly didnt realise how much that tasty little bastard chocolate bar would mess with my programme.
The Mars bar was from a vending machine so I could not check the wrapper first.
I am eating dry roast chicken with two boiled eggs for lunch (boooooooooring) so there's the Karma.
I think I should do another piss stick tonight and see how my keto levels are.

Things going well except after my mars bar day the ketostix test show really weak signs of Keto. I cheated that day and also had a few cappacinos.
Back on track, The weekend is nearly upon us
Friday's food
Breakfast = 100gm of whey protein shake
11am = Handfull of Almonds
Lunch = 2 eggs 4 slices of ham
3pm = 1 small Avocado
Dinner = ONE MIGHTY STEAK with salad
Weighed myself today 86.2kg so I have been at a steady weight all week.
Still need to pull my finger out and add two days of Cardio.

I forgot to add I put 40gm of Milled Flaxseed in with my lunchtime eggs to bump up the fat. It looked horrendous but tasted okay.
I am hitting 2000 calories on a non workout day and 2400 cals on my workout days
I do have to bump up with extra cals sometimes eg cocunut milk and walnuts to hit my daily nutrition goal when I am coming up short.
I read today that some people dont lose weight on Keto because they dont get enough calories and also some people lose fat but maintain weight by holding water (I would be happy with the latter)
Here's my Macro breakdown to achieve 2000 cals
144gms Fat 65%
150gms Protein 35&
25gms Carbs 5%
Weight 86kg
BF 26% 'ish
Job = stuck at a desk all day monday to friday
Workouts = 3 x 5x5SL plus 7-a-side football once a week, 2 cardio sessions soon to be added.
If you think I have made any miscalculations I would be grateful for your feedback?

So, what's new?
TRAINING
On Saturday and Sunday I done some Cardio for the first time since starting the Keto Diet.
45 minutes on a treadmill inclined at 2%. relatively slow at 8.2kmph = 650 calories
On Monday morning I weighed myself I was amazed to be 85.2kg's. This is down from 87.8kg when I started Keto and the 86kg plus I was last week.
I have been threatening to do cardio and pulled my finger out after a really poor performance playing 7-a-side football last week (due to fitness and lung capacity)
I have been invited to trial for a new football team next Sunday so I will be running Mon,Tue,Wed,Thur,Fri. rest Saturday play Sunday hopefully this will get me up to speed for playing 90 minutes of football.
I pushed 5x80kg on my final bench press set last week but could only manage 3x80kg today. Is this because of the new cardio? I'm not certain but my main goal is to lose body fat and would be comfortable with maintaining instead of gaining strength if the bodyfat is reducing so I wont complain.
I am looking forward to getting the tape measure out at the end of the week and see what effect the cardio has had on the circumference of my belly.
NUTRITION
Saturday I had carbs with my meal - went out for an Italian meal - porridge for breakfast
Monday morning I tried adding peanut butter to my protein shake but it didn't dissolve to well and ended up swallowing a huge lump of peanut butter.
