Question Has anyone posted an ISCHAEMIC routine?

I bought the July UK edition of Mens Health magazine, and it shows how a celebrity - Ben Shepherd - went through a remarkable body transformation in 6 weeks to significantly build muscle, cut fat, and create abs.

He explains this was all achieved by an innovative system called Ischaemic wieghted movement training. Basically it seems to be involved with working one area/limb while keeping another area/limb under tension. Not sure if this can be used for the abs part though??

Unfortunately, there's no further info than that...

I'd be really grateful for any info anyone has on this new technique, and ideally has anyone even put together/posted a routine I can try out?

    Thanks

It certainly sounds like it would extend total workout time considerably and may reduce the actual rep count for the muscle you’re trying to exercise.

It will certainly strengthen the core especially when trying to keep balanced i.e. when keeping one leg extended.

Worth a trying for cutting I suppose – watch overworking those shoulders though!

Personally I would keep to supersets.
