    Greek Yogurt

    One kind of food that I eat usually during my lunchtime and what has been known to help with weight loss is Greek Yogurt, it contains enzymes and healthy bacterias that help with the flattening of bellies, along with double the protein and less calories/sugars than regular yogurt, help make this food a helpful weight loss snack.

    I wish I could stomach yogurt. I tried Greek because a friend said it was different. Not different enough for me.

    Haha yea Greek Yogurt really doesn't have any difference from what regular yogurt is, it just contains less sugars and double to proteins which is great for muscle building and in the latest Muscle and Fitness magazine it was rated as one of the top fat burners/gut busters so thats why I eat it.

    Is it the taste or consistency that you cannot stomach Deviation? Or do you have lactose intolerance?

    It's the smell/taste. Activates the puke reflex. Kind of like sauerkraut or cole slaw.

    I was able to eat the Dannon Light & Fit yogurt. It was decent. Just got burned out on i.

    Sounds a bit suspect to me. Not that yogurt isn't a healthy protein-rich snack, but how can eating a food burn fat? And there's certainly no way it would reduce abdominal fat more than any other kind of fat (http://www.exrx.net/WeightTraining/Myths.html)

    I've been eating lots of quark lately (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quark_%28cheese%29). It's technically a skim milk soft cheese but it has a consistency more like very thick double cream or very thick yogurt. Doesn't taste of a lot but is quite refreshing, and very high protein (13%) and low fat (0.2%).

    Although, I've found that cutting diary out of my diet, I feel so much better.

    In the May 2010 issue of Muscle and Fitness titled "Wide Back and Big Delts" on page 108 it lists the 21 foods you should never be without and #1 is Greek Yogurt

    Here is the quote/text from the Magazine:

    "This stuff has a wealth of gut-friendly probiotic bacteria and calcium, which helps burn fat and it contains almost twice the protein of regular yogurt. A caveat: Check the sugar content, as some Greek yogurts can be overloaded with the sweet stuff. Plain is always best.

    8oz. 2% 150 Calories, 20g protein, 6g carbs, 4g fat, 3g saturated fat, 0g fiber"

    I can only stand it every one in a while.

    But it's the ones with NutraSweet that I can't stand.

    Most brands of yogurt contain good-for-you bacteria. Yogurt May Reduce the Risk of High Blood Pressure. It is rich source of potassium, phosphorous, riboflavin. Yogurt also contains B12, which maintains red blood cells and helps keep your nervous system functioning properly.

    Maybe it reduces belly fat compared to eating pudding? It's tough to keep up with the latest "superfoods". That coupled with the fact that science seems to always backtrack on itself (eggs are good, eggs are bad, eggs are good).

    That quark stuff sounds interesting. Not sure where I can pick some up to try. I need another source of casein.
