I have been using JEFIT off and on for several months (since I got my Android phone and Xoom). Loving the ability to sync accross multiple devices and the web to keep track of my logs---now I just have to make sure I take the time to log everything so I can track my progress! I will probably post something in another portion of the forum, but one gripe/suggestion I have for JEFIT is that it doesn't provide (as far as I can tell) a GOOD way to depict progress in the form of # of repetitions (you can ONLY chart/graph/track 1RM--which is great for weights, but not so good for body weight stuff like pushups, pullups, dips, etc. if you aren't adding weight). Of course, since I am still learning, I may have missed something.
About Me:
I am an active duty Marine who no longer has time for the "bodybuilder" routine in the weight room, but I have been more focused on functional fitness (Crossfit, etc.) and bodyweight exercises (time constraint and "total body" fitness requirement). I would say I am a beginner triathlete (love using my Garmin and Garminconnect.com for my running & biking--maybe there could be some future integration!). About a year ago I started training in Vibram 5Fingers--and I probably won't ever wear normal athletic shoes again. Unfortunately, I recently fractured my fibula/ankle in a training accident--after six screws, plate, and some kevlar string the Doc says I should regain 100% use of my right leg. I am about 4 weeks into a couple month (hopefully) full recovery from that injury. Because I can't run, bike, or swim again yet, I have been focused on a LOT of upper body body weight exercises (100 Pullups/200 Pushups per day). Olympic rings have become my newest endeavor. I have found them to provide some very versatile and challenging exercises. I have a goal of doing muscle ups on the rings (haven't been able to accomplish any yet).
Looking forward to being a part of the community and contributing where I can.
