• Triathlete in the making

Hey all, name is danny and i'm from NYC. i recently dropped about 30 pounds, and have started lifting back in october. it feels great to be getting stronger and fitter.

i'm a bit of a cardio freak, and am doing a few competitions this year, such as tough mudder in septemeber, and a few triathlons and mud runs.

i'm a bit of a techi, and trying to get stronger, so i think jefit is going to be very useful for me.

so far my only issue is not being able to look up routines on the website. i've had to come to the forums. found the tough mudder one that someone was kind enough to share.

if anyone knows of a general circuit that involves squats, deadlifts, chest press, and over head press all on the same day, please let me know.

You are correct. The lack of searchability in the routines is a problem and one that Jefit are aware of and seeking to address.

Alas there has been no solution yet.

Still, welcome to the forums - we are glad to have you join us!!! Hopefully you will find what you need from us - I'm sure it's on here.... somewhere....

    Kind Regards
    Dave

Welcome to the site! Hoping to get a few mud runs in myself. Did one last year and had a blast. Also realized how much endurance rather than strength plays into it.

Quite a circuit there. I'm guessing with all that, the aim is hypertrophy rather than power? I can't think of one like that off the top of my head. What's the tougher mudder routine look like?

the tough mudder routine is here:

        http://www.jefit.com/forum/showthread.php?12539-3-days-week-General-Intermediate-Tough-Mudder-Training&highlight=tough+mudder

you might need to reference this: http://toughmudder.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/TrainingPrep.pdf which is the official Tough Mudder work out. some of the exercises are a little different from regular ones.

by the way, i am on another website, called http://www.myfitnesspal.com/, which is a nutrition/weight loss site. its a great place to track calories and all your macros. it also has a great facebook style social aspect that is very supportive. i have the same user name there, so add me.

Yeah that routine triggered my "WTF" reflex. Some odd sounding exercises in there for sure.

I've added you on MFP. TheDeviation.
