  • Question on how much I should eat

    Hey guys and gals,

    So I walk anywhere from an hour to 3 hours a day. I lift weights for my arms twice a week and do ab exercises every other day. I was thinking of bumping up my daily calories from around 1,700 calories per day to around 2,100 a day. Is this enough? I'm trying to get ripped like Michael Jai White in the movie "Blood and Bone".

    I'm kind of lost and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    If you figure out your BMR(base metabolic rate) and TDEE(total daily energy expenditure)you can set a base line and go from there depending on your goals. You can input your numbers in to a couple different calculators and they will figure them out for you. [URL="http://http://www.linear-software.com/bmr_bmi.html"]Harris Benedict formula[/URL] uses your height weight and age. The [URL="http://www.calculatorpro.com/calculator/katch-mcardle-bmr-calculator/"]Kartch McCardle formula[/URL] uses body fat % and is a little more accurate IMO. Either method will work and give you an ESTIMATE on your starting point.
