Protein is the key! Unfortunately it can be hard to get enough when you can't eat meat (especially for vegans who can't even eat dairy, like me!) I end up getting most of my protein from [URL="http://www.proteinbrain.com/best-protein-powder-for-a-sensitive-stomach/"]this vegetarian protein powder[/URL]. They make the protein from peas actually, so I like it as a vegan!

There are some good rice powder protein supplements available if you are gluten sensitive. Also, peanut butter (only with no added crap - read the ingredients to be sure) sunflower and almond butter are great with fresh cut apples as a simple vegan friendly protein boost to the diet. Dark green veggies are generally good protein sources. If you are not vegan and can add eggs, whey, etc, into your diet it makes things easier to manage. Otherwise it is totally within reason to be Vegan and have a protein rich diet. I recommend the books by Dr. Life for great examples and recipes.
