I take NOS I get a good pump. I think there is some caffeine in there as well. I also get a good recovery when I take Creatine before and after I work out. The biggest boost from a supplement I get is from a mirror and some hard rock

In the past I only took the Whey Protein as supplement. I have to buy a new supply and am wondering what would you recommend with a Women beginner's cutting routine? Am reading a lot of stuff but is it really necessary, if you have a good food regimen it should be sufficient to get all your nutrients right?!

I'm sure a lot of it is psychological. A placebo effect perhaps.

A lot of times if I'm tired or my mind is wandering I find working out much harder. That's why music often helps. Probably the thought that whatever you have taken ought to be giving you a buzz/making you more effective is enough to trick your brain into making you work harder.
