View Full Version : When to begin taking supplements?

I've stopped lifting for about 2 years and finally getting back into it.
It's been 4 weeks and I'm making progress lifting (ie doing more reps/weight).

I used to take protein shakes/creatine/and No xplode when I was active.

I'd like to avoid taking supplements until I really need to (ie not seeing progress with workouts)

Is that a good idea? To wait until I hit a wall before resorting to supplements?

I'm less than a year into lifting so maybe I'm the wrong guy to answer with authority, but to me it makes sense to take some supplements from the beginning and here's why: You progress is sort of like compounded interest the more progress you make now the more progress you'll be able to make later. Why postpone benefits you could be getting now?

Sorry i am not taking supplement bt my frend was satrted when he is in 20. And he has such a great physics and healthy
