Ok I'm in need of a little direction, Im somewhat new to the gym I have been going for about 5x a week for the past 3 weeks. I have been taking Meta-Burn XTP as directed (3x a day) it seems that my body is starting to get used to it and not giving me the same effect as it did for the first week in a half. Is there anything anyone hard tried that yall recommend? I am 5'8 258lbs so im trying to cut my extra fat & build some muscle. Oh i also when i first started i was 168 so i have lost about 10lbs since i started.

Thanks

I think you have a typo as you first said you were 258 and than later say you started at 168 but lost 10 lbs. Either you are 158 lbs now with starting at 168 or you are 258 and started at 268.

CONGRATS on losing 10 lbs in 3 weeks; good job Chris. Keep up the good work.

With being new to the gym I am assuming not much experience; correct? If so I would have stayed away from any supplements such as this to start out with. I would have relied on commitment and working out intensely so as not to get to this point of finding it no longer works and now having to chase after other supplements hoping to find something to give you that feeling again. This I guarantee will be something you will always have to do.

I've never taken a pre-workout supplement, have never needed it. Have always relied on commitment and working out intensely to get me by; seems to be working. Sure there are days that I don't want to work out or don't work out as hard; that is just life, but never would I look to a supplement; I'm not that reliant on wasting my money. Maybe when more experienced than I might suggest a supplement but at your stage with you now looking for something else, that shouldn't be the case.

Good luck to you on your training. Good job on your weight loss and many more that will sure to come.

Or for a cheap pre workout, a couple of extra strong energy drinks/coffee
Or caffeine pills, can get about 200 for a few quid

Or something i quite like, have some really strong chewing gum before you get into the gym, and will give you a kind of open feeling like you can suck in more air, might not actually help in any way, but its a nice feeling as you breathe in

So I looked up Meta-Burn XTP. It's not a pre-workout. It's marketed as a fat loss product. That said, throw it away and start tracking your food intake.

For preworkout, I've tried several. I really like ON's Amino Energy. It's not stuffed with extras (like creatine) as most are. I've also tried Muscle Pharm Assault and Jack3d. Muscle Pharm is an "all in one" meaning it's got more than aminos in it. Caffeine, creatine, etc.. It's a decent product but it didn't sit well with my stomach. YMMV. Jack3d is heavy on the stimulant side so those with a low caffeine tolerance will want to start low.

I plan on testing out Gaspari's SuperPumpMax next. I like to at least test out products to see what the effects are. Some are a waste of money. I don't agree that they all are though.

That can happen with any pre-workout supplement.

More than likely due to your body not needed the excess crap and so does away with it. ;)

Damn anti-supplement people. ;) Lots of them were/are made with magnesium which can cause stomach cramps. New/revised versions seem to be leaving this out.
