    That last 20 lbs... grrrr

    My weight loss journey started about 1 year ago. Since then I have lost 70 lbs and feel great. I have about 20 more pounds to lose and just can't seem to get them off. It seems to me that the normal Calorie's in calories out premise no longer applies. I have plateaued and can't seem to break it. I have consistently stayed at 1500-1600 calories for months .. nothing.. someone said eat more.. so I bumped to 1900 calories. it helped a little, but then plateaued again. So Here I am dumbfounded as what to do. I don't think I could possibility go down under 1500 calories on a consistent basis.. I am too much of a foodie and I get cranky.

    I work out 6 days week.
    which includes 3 days of full body strength training
    interval classes (taba, plyometric type stuff)
    spinning classes
    biking, running
    kickboxing.

    I try to switch it up as much as possible. I am now convinced that the most important thing is to focus on strength training and I love it. I feel strong and that's great.. but if I lost that last 20 pounds I'd be so much happier.

    So any advice on breaking this plateau would be great or even how to figure out how many calories to eat. I am a clean eater and avoid processed foods as much as possible..

    Sounds like you still have room to move on this. If you're really busting your butt 6 days/week, you need calories.
