I'm just starting out using supplements, and am taking Isolated Whey Protein before weight workouts. I also am taking BCAA tablets after each workout with the weights. I divide the week up, with "day 1" workout on arms and legs, "Day 2" is for back, chest and shoulders, and in between, (Tues, Thur, and Sat) I do an hour of Cardio. I am wondering if I should take the BCAA's on the cardio days, as I'm not positive of the use, and function of these supplements. I know that it's important when working the actual muscles, but not sure about cardio. Can I get some input from some of the more experienced folks? I'm not looking to bulk up, just get toned to a decent body. I'm a 65 year old male, and have recently lost weight going from 305 down to around 201 now.
