    Homemade pre workout

Hi I been doing some research and am thinking of making my oun pre work out. Here is what I'm thinking of putting in it.
Coffee or caffeine 200 to 300 mg
    Beta alanine 3-5 grams
    L-Arginine akg. 4 grams
    Glutamine. 5 grams
    Citrulline malate 5-8 grams
    Creatine. 3-5 grams.
And a serving of maybe a sport drink

Two question does this look like a good formula and dosing. Also what is a good brand to get of these ingredients.
A good brand to go with. Bodybuilding.com Foundation Series Or Bodystrong brand, now brand, primaforce. Any idea of what company to go with. Thanks.

I put together something similar for myself, plus Taurine. Consider adding Betaine. Also, Citrulline is a precursor for Arginine, if I remember correctly (could be alanine), so if you put in both of them, you may be putting in too much. I use sports drinks (or just eat candy) post-workout, when the body needs fast-digesting carbs. Pre-workout you're better off with a fruit or a couple of crackers.
I learned a lot from fitness books, magazines, and online articles. Most important thing I learned: you don't get fit by reading about it.

Look at the write-ups for each supplement on examine.com.

The only ones you listed that are backed up by significant evidence are caffiene, beta alanine and creatine. And of course glucose from the sports drink.

That looks like a nice combination for an awesome pwo. I've been wanting to make my own for years, just haven't found the time to buy all the ingredients and test them out. It would be ideal though for the long run. Save a bunch of money and you know exactly what you're putting in your body.

I'm thinking of getting and trying the pre-jym. Would I need to take anything durning the the workout. Also is there any post workout recommended to take with this like any bcaa or recover drink other than protein shake Thanks

I've seen BCAA as mid- and post-workout. Also, some suggest carbs with high GI, such as sugar or maltodextrin.

Slap some ephedrine in there. Looks good otherwise!

Amazon and EBay have the best prices for bulk products.
