    supplements for beginners

    Hi guys
    Just started attending a fitness studio this month and was wondering what were the most recomendable supplement products. Any suggestions?

    Your supplement picks should reflect your goals. Before you start taking anything, keep in mind that they have to supplement everything else you do. No (non-lethal) amount of fat burner can undo a package of chocholate fudge brownies at bedtime. So, before you turn to supplements, make sure your diet and workout program fit your goals.

    You can choose a pre-mixed supplement or individual components. The only one I'd recommend to anyone active is creatine. I'm a regular at examine.com - this site has great information on most supplements. Also, different people respond differently to supplements. When a study says that supplement X is effective in 40% of the cases the only way you can find out whether it works for you is to try it.

    One word of caution - some "proprietary blends" include stimulants, which are basically designer drugs. Do your research before you use anything.
