    First Supplement?

    I'm looking into getting my first supplement. I'm not sure what kind to buy or what is best. I've always been a skinny guy that could eat anything and not gain weight. I've read its harder to put on muscle when someone is like that. Which is okay.
    Here is my current workout
    If anyone could recommend a good supplement for me that would be great.
    Also, when would be the best time to take the protein shake?

    As Robertrogo stated, diet comes first, exercise second and supplements third. No supplement will be able to give you instant results without putting in the effort (nothing legal or healthy anyways). That being said, I also agree that a protein supp is the best place to start. A complex mix will be slightly cheaper, but the isolate is more pure and generally gives you a larger hit without as many calories. I'd try experimenting with both to find which one works better for you.

    Hey man, I was in your shoes some time ago too.

    The one supplement that is going to make you grow stronger, better, bigger, leaner, and healthier.........

    Would have to be Whey protein.

    Being able to meet your dietary protein intake is pretty much the only thing that will help you get stronger, and build more muscle. A lot of people working out do not meet their protein requirements and often just spin their wheels.

    Don't be that person. Make sure you're getting enough protein my friend. its super important. Whats the [URL=""]best whey protein powder[/URL] though? Good many products out there..i personally drink optimum's whey protein. I've been taking it for nearly 5 years. My only supplement aside from my pre-workout.

    As a first supplement goes, I would recommend protein. Whether you want to put serious mass on or not will affect which protein to buy. I remember my first supplement I bought. [url][/url] Taste was good up until the ending. ON is a good brand to start off with in my opinion.

    Def get a protein to either drink immediately following your workout or during your workout. I like to use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey and the reasons why are: you get a lot of servings for the price you pay, it tastes good, and it gives you the perfect amount of protein that is needed. 1 serving contains 25g of protein, which many experts say is the most that one should consume in a single serving. They say over 25g of protein in a single serving can overload the kidneys.
