I can't say I have motivational quotes that keep me motivated. I do however frequently say the following: 1. Bigger, Stronger, Faster 2. Lift for Life 3. While some days I hate working out, I hate not working out worse 4. I'm in better shape then people at my age and even people in their 20's and 30's (I'm in my 40's with over 13 years lifting experience) 5. This is hard work but if it was easy then everybody would be doing it. 6. Only a small percentage of people lift this much and have done it for this long. These things I believe in and live by. I am my own motivation. What I see in the mirror motivates me to maintain or to pick up the pace.
Lift heavy, live strong
Almost isn't good enough!
"It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care". -Peter Gibbons (Office Space).
"Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning." Can't believe I forgot these: Yeaah buddy! Lightweight baby!
Someone might have something smart to say to this one but.. I am a Christian and I always use Philipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. This really helps me push through that extra rep or extra lap when I think i cant push it anymore.
Why tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death?
Originally Posted by dTor Why tiptoe through life just to arrive safely at death? Very nice; I like this one. One I also use is "If I come, I'm bringing the pain with me". Nothing to do with lifting but something I believe.
