    German Volume Training

    I downloaded the German Volume training phase 1 routine and had a question about the off days.
    when doing this routine, is it important to rest on the 4 off days (just doing cardio) or is it accepted practice to do other weight-lifting on those days. was think of throwing in some light "rehab" type routines (band work etc..) and maybe more ab/core work.

    If you really want to see the best results with GVT, don't train outside of those days. I wouldn't even do cardio. I would however, do some stretching and make sure you are eating a few 100 calories above maintenance as you will need it to grow. If you are doing GVT right you wont need anything else, in fact you risk it being counter productive.
