Status: Week 6: Part 2: I am excited to continue my journey in becoming more fit and seeing how heavy and with how much ease I will be able to lift. I know change does not happen overnight, but I am slowly seeing it happened. All I want to do now, as my goal, is to workout harder. Thank you for making us do this and pushing us in persevering. This class, because of my grades, is what pushed me to work out and I am so glad that I did it. In short, these past 6 weeks have been revelatory to me since I got to witness all the changed that happened to me physically and mentally. 5 years ago

alisonroig Week 6: Part 1: All throughout this week, like all the other weeks, I noted down all my exercises with the repetitions and sets to make sure I upgrade and did not stay with the same weight. I got to say, I am really proud of myself to be able to lift almost the double of what I started with in week 1. Now, for instance, in the thigh abductor exercise, I can lift 170 lbs and do 20 repetitions, when at first, I was only able to lift 60 and do only 15 repetitions. Another example of how heavy I can lift now is in the leg press exercises. I started out doing 130lbs and did 15 repetitions, now I can lift 240 and do 20 repetitions. I became really strong physically and mentally, thanks to this gym class, and I am really proud, I find it amazing the progress I made in only 6 weeks. I did notice throughout these weeks that the pictures made me very self-conscious since they were and are not taken in my greatest moments, but I do feel a change in my self-confidence, as I have mentioned before.

alisonroig WEEK 5: Part 1: After every workout I feel so motivated and proud of myself, it is a great feeling! Today's workout was so successful: I kept a motivated mindset throughout the whole hour and a half, I pushed myself harder and harder by upping the weight and or repetitions, and I did my exercises well since I already feel my muscles working. My goal for next week will be to go workout three times a week instead of 2. I really love what my workout sessions are doing to me mentally and physically. Mentally I am a lot more relaxed, energized, and focused. And physically I see the changes which push me to watch what I am eating and try to eat healthier. I am already excited for my next gym session, my goal is to go Thursday before my shift at work! Overall, I am doing great and could not be more impressed with myself!

alisonroig WEEK 4: I am proud of this weeks work out session, especially the one of Monday, October 29th. I am so proud to see how much I can lift now and how easy it has become. In addition, the next morning I don't even feel sore which is great and even if I do I am so proud to feel sore because I know it is the result of my hardowrk. I love seeing the progress I am making. I wish I can focus more on leg exercises and not arms but I have to do my whole body. I want to try to integrate more leg exercises in my next workout. That will be my goal. As another goal, I want to try to keep a motivated mind set, sometimes during the exercises I start complaining that I have had enough but I want to try to catch myself and not do that. Anyways, in short, I am super super proud of myself right now!!

alisonroig This week's workouts (WEEK 3) have been very successful. As I said in my note, I already feel my body changing which makes me very proud of myself! It has given me a lot more confidence in everything I do (self-esteem, oral presentation, and talking to a stranger). For next workout, I would like to increase once again my weights and increase the number of repetitions I do (20 instead of 15). In addition, working out has made me a lot more focus and peaceful when it came to my homework, essays, and my work. I feel a lot more zen.
