Want to Build a Strong Core? Try These Jefit Exercises

A strong core is important for several reason. First, it can help to keep back injuries at bay. Secondly, all bodily movements, performed in and out of the gym, are more efficient with a strong, powerful core. The core is made up of as many as 35 muscles that connect into the pelvis. Think about all the muscles that help to tie the upper body to lower body…those are the core muscles.

The following list of Jefit exercises can be used as part of your strength training routine. When adding exercises to a routine, remember one of the keys is to work the core or midsection using multiple movement patterns, seen below.

Movements Involving the Core

  • Flexion
  • Lateral Flexion
  • Rotation
  • Anti-Rotation
  • Stabilization
