Ever get burntout from the gym?? I mean I love going and been going for years. Consider myself healthy & fit but sometimes I can find myself ducking and dodging the gym. Does this ever happen to you?

Carlton40 To cope with gym burnout, take a break to rest and recover. Try new activities or classes for variety. Set realistic goals, prioritize sleep and nutrition, and consider working out with a friend. Seeking support from a personal trainer can also help. It's okay to take a step back and reevaluate.

breezy1149 Of course ! Half the time I'm going I'm running on discipline not desire.... and after a few months I get burned out and sometimes step away for a few weeks , sometimes in the form of a deload, other times in the form of a complete break up for a few weeks to a month... and then other times real life shit gets in the way and I really wanna be there 🤷...I very much go thru phases... I'm starting to get into a good one now.. but a few months from now , idk lol

salmong I don't have this feeling.

How often do you go? If you go every day you probably need a brake.

amgym19 Have you tried varying up your routine? Sometimes it's nice to change things up a little and explore new things.

pah68 Only when I'm due for a deload. The central nervous system needs a break every now and then.
There are other times though where I start to talk myself into thinking I need a rest. I invariably feel good when I ignore that voice though.

I only really know I need a rest after a workout when my rep failure points come sooner than expected.

FreezeJohnson I used to do this before I started tracking my workouts. Many of my days didn't have focused effort/recovery periods, and I didn't set any long term goals

JackCell Yes, it happens. However, I tend to force myself to go. Once there, it goes away.
