how do you log your unilateral movement ? for instance, if I do single leg rdl, I'm logging 40lbs 12 reps. does jefit count it as double then since it's unilateral?

Thistle_and_Stone No, it technically only logs one side. The exercise could be loaded twice, one for the left and one for the right, you could also chain the two together as a superset. Or you could double the sets and start with the same side every time( 6 sets - 3 left 3 right). If you do the same wt for left and right sides, then it wouldn't really matter. 🤷

MichaelWood Hi - unilateral is one side like a one arm row so weighted is recorded just for that side. Bi-lateral or both sides like a bench press is both sides

carlosfromspain I generally log them as two exercises one for each side linked as a superset.

pah68 I've always logged each pair as one set. If 10 reps per side, I count 10 reps once.

amgym19 The unilateral note doesn't affect logging for manual entry; we can choose how to log on our own. It only affects the interval-based autoplay mode. If we set up a workout for autoplay, then Jefit will prompt to switch sides and rerun the interval timer for that exercise before moving on to the next exercise

mangonesailor I do the same as pah68. I have dumbbell shrugs I do, but I do it with 1 dumbbell. I shrug on 1 side, move dumbbell, shrug on other side. 20 shrugs, 10 on each side, and logged as "10 reps per set". if I hurt myself or did something different for that sort of exercise on a particular day I just make a note under that exercise, rather than make a whole other custom exercise.

I do have weighted and unweighted custom exercises so that I track it correctly. I don't want to have done something in a particular pattern, do it weightless, then everything is marked "0" if I do it with weights. I like the auto-fill option of showing me what I used the last time instead of always having to use the logs

VillainousEverAfter I just add them as sets - 6 sets (3 for each side). I like the idea of adding the same exercise twice and super-setting them. Would make what I’m doing clearer in my logs.
