What's the best way to workout a weak ankle. I use KT tape for support. any suggestions would be helpful. Old Army injury.

amgym19 I recently got a small single leg ankle balance board. I am enjoying working with it, but I don't know how effective it is. I feel that it has improved my stability. There is a video on YouTube with Dr. Peter Attia explaining how to use one.

The_Fatnessguru Strengthening the foot muscles might help.
Try switching to barefoot shoes, but very slowly. don't put on barefoot shoes and run. start by walking barefoot in your home, grab stuff with your toes, wiggle and spread them Infront of the TV etc. The internet is full with plans for the switch.

Also, do balance exercises. Depending on the severity, start without a board, just stand without shoes on one foot. progressions: wave arms, stand on a soft surface, stand on a pillow, do squats etc.

Basically make the foot/ankle/knee work gradually harder to keep you upright. Go easy though, it feels like you are doing nothing, but you are.
