ok not digging this new update. I went with the suggestion and did the weight and reps and then when I went back to my 2nd set it reverted the 1st set back to last week's weight. and I ended my workout but it started a new workout with the last exercise I did only. also the per dumbbell suggestion has totally thrown me off my numbers so now it thinks my volume has decreased.

yeah, the updates haven't been great. the idea are great, but they still need to work on implementation. surprised they don't have a beta team, always seems like they throw updates out then fix/adjust without the use a beta.

yeah it's not a functional implementation. I just ignore and stick with manually deciding when to increase weight or reps and total volume goal.

Jefit provides a tool for me to use, but I decide how to use it. So that means I log my sets the way I want, and I structure my workouts the way I want. I'm not going to change the way I have been keeping my logs for the past 7 years because Jefit suggests a different strategy, because one of the things I want from this tool is the ability to look back on my historic progress data.
I've left the new features active for now, out of curiosity, but I doubt it will provide useful info unless and until it incorporates data from my custom exercises.
I think it may be more useful for newer users on the app. I do remember what the app was like in 2019, and overall it has improved tremendously. But some improvements are much better than others... and a few things on my wish list have never come to fruition.

I saw someone else get the “new workout started” bug and the advice from a fellow user was to try to restart or even reinstall the app. HTH. The first issue is concerning; it hasn’t “learned” me yet so I havent seen it change weight or reps. Finally, I’ve ignored the move to “per side” entirely so am not affected. It will sort itself out eventually if you are consistent.
