How do you guys involve Drop sets once the option is chosen by marking the set with D for drop set in a particular exercise? Let's say I plan to perform 3 sets in a given exercise. The first set is W for warm-up, the second is F to failure, and the third set is D for drop set. I assume that the correct way would be after performing the set to failure, my second set, I do D (drop set) immediately with no breaks between. Which would mean the best way is to set the time between the two to 0? Is this the best way to track Drop sets in Jefit, or do you know of a better way?

amgym19 For a standard drop set I use a very short rest, like 10 or 21 seconds. Just long enough to swap out the weights and log the last set into Jefit.

But I have started to use dropping a little differently, which allows for more of a rest. I can still use the Jefit option to mark it with a D, which is my way of noting that I have reduced the weight from the previous set.

carlosfromspain Drop sets are done after your last set of the execise, and have no rest in between unlike rest pauses or myoreps, so a three set exercise can look like this for example:

W set - 50kg - 15 reps - 30 sec rest
W set - 75kg - 8 reps - 60 sec rest
F set - 100kg - 12 reps - 90 sec rest
2 set -100kg - 10 reps - 90 sec rest
3 set - 100kg - 9 reps - 0 sec rest
D set - 80kg - 5 reps - 0 sec rest
D set - 65kg - 5 reps - 0 sec rest
D set - 50kg - 5 reps - 90 sec rest

Carphill007 I do it differently but my way is not better - just different. I use F for myo rep sets so I may log 30 reps but F means I may have done 15, 10, 5 with maybe 5 seconds rest between. I use a drop set when for example my first top set is so taxing that I worry I wont hit the min of the rep range on the next set. So in my case, I have a full rest. Finally, I tend to superset in most cases to achieve what you are doing so for example went from leg extension to sissy squat last night with no rest in between. It is a drop set I suppose as I go to bodyweight only, but its still an intensity technique and RPE is super high.
