Anyone else here a Brazilian Jui-Jitsu athlete? What kind of programs do you follow? You can tell from my heart rate spike when we transitioned from training to rolling (sparring) 😂
I'm a Jitz practitioner... more like an addict, really. I do PPLPP, focusing mostly on strength with good range of motion.
My game is athletic and heavy! Lots of spider guard, so I use my strength to my advantage. Not looking to get bigger, but I definitely roll with the big boys, so I need that strength.
I lift 5 days a week (short 45-minute sessions) and have 4 (sometimes 3) Jitz practices a week. I stretch about 10 to 15 minutes before each session.
I used to run, but I've gotten comfortable calling Jitz my cardio since I never felt like running transferred over well.
I competed in December and brought home my first Gold as a Blue Belt!
