One other thing would be to make sure they setup within a browser. A lot of phones want to launch the app with the link and that seems to break the referral process on Android.

Invites only count as accepted once the person clicks the link in the invite message and completes the sign-up process, and the free month of Elite isn’t applied until that accepted status is registered in the system.
Double-check with your friends that they used the exact invite link you sent and completed sign-up with the same email/username, and let us know whether they received any error message during sign-up, so we can trace what happened.
