Does anyone have helpful notes and suggestions for training with and dealing with Plantar Fasciitis? I love walking, especially in the outdoors when the weather turns good, so having to skip the treadmill or limit my walks has me twisted up.

I had it for a while and avoided shoes and sandals with no heel/arch support. typically a problem where the tendon attaches to the heel. shoes that worked for me were: Birkenstock, New Balance 990, Merrell Moab hiking shoes. exercises are standing and sitting deep calf stretch calf raises, a great many sets/reps. massage by rolling foot on a firm ball.
