bench press tips needed. so we know that if we are strong on our pulls but grip is the weakest part, we can use straps or chalk to help. what is the technique for bench? I know this proper grip and hand position, but on heavier weights, the weight of the bar digging into my hand is the weakest part. I feel like I can still push the weight for more reps but the bar here is painfully uncomfortable gloves dont really help this is also a limiting factor when I dip on bars/parallettes

Workout Addict Have you considered using dumbbells instead? You can stretch the pecs more with dumbbells. Also, dumbbells are much safer to use.

carlosfromspain Usimg a tight grip including the thumb rapping around hard and squeezing the bar, and making sure the wrist is in neutral position with the bar on the base of the palm helps me.
