I've been doing a PPL A/B split for years.
Things get added, swapped and moved around. I'll watch a YouTube clip, like a new exercise or variation. Today I changed the order, and added a new finisher.
The only static thing is, get the big one in first. Largest or most fatiguing lift first after that I'm easy.
I have 12 exercises in a programme, but only aim to between 6 and 9. the other three are for swaps if the gym is busy.
I'd rather swap an exercise than wait 5 minutes doing nothing.

For the health of my joints, when the reps get down to 9 or 10. I usually stick to an exercise for 6 months or longer using progressive overload and high reps. I train to near failure and deload every six weeks.

Iām usually sticking to mine anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on intensity. High volume phases with 15+ reps I do no more than 4 weeks. Low volume I run longer.
