Unless you are a competitive athlete or bodybuilder. They are totally unnecessary. The majority of average gym goers that do this, are just chasing a pattern of gaining and losing weight but never truly seeing actual muscle hypertrophy. Just yo yo up and down.

I enjoy bulking more. With both my last meal of the day gets affected. With cutting there are several nights it is just yogurt for dinner. With bulking, I can generally have that as desert.

I like the bulk the best. Being able to just eat crazy (obviously healthy foods) and pack on muscle while lifting heavier weight than you ever thought is the best! But the cut does have its upsides.

Cut. I was very overweight and so now 3 days into a bulk I feel fat AF and the loose skin around my midriff is full of water and I look like shit (to me).

I don’t bulk or cut. I just enjoy life and eat healthy.
No industrial sugar, no high processed food, not too many carbs and a lot of protein, meat veggies and fruits 😉
I’ve met too many people who forget to cut after bulking and are still in bulking mode 🤣
The lean bulk always worked for me.

I personally love adding mass during the bulking phase. I love seeing the results of my current cutting phase. However the extra discipline of my diet makes cutting a little less enjoyable for me.
