what kind of preworkout do you guys recommend?
i recently ordered Gorilla Mode Nitric Upgraded Stimulant Free Pre-workout Cherry Blackout flavor
I’ll take taking it before my sessions for an added boost!

Like workout addict pointed out, the only ingredient that has shown an ergonegic effect in preworkouts is caffeine, there is even some evidence that they may even be counter productive since some ingredients may interfere with each other, so save your money, its all marketing.
Only if you are doing intensive exercise for longer than 60min, simple electrolytes may offer some benefit, otherwise just hydrate yourself if you need to and some coffee before your session, and not everyday either or you will habituate to the caffeine and you are only left with a placebo effect, and not after lunch as anything less than 9hrs before bed will interfere with your sleep cycles and revovery even if you sleep.

Most of the ingredients in pre-workout supplements are useless except for the caffeine. I just drink black coffee and matcha tea (for the l-theanine) before my weight lifting session. I also take HMB pre and post workout for muscle recovery.
