How to do it

The barbell zercher squat is a variation of the squat exercise that is similar to the front squad and helps build the upper muscles of the quadriceps.

Steps :

1.) Start by lifting a barbell off of a weight rack, placing it across your chest and holding it with your arms crossed.

2.) Place your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart with your knees and toes pointed slightly outward.

3.) Drawing your abs in descend slowly by bending at the knees and hips in a squatting motion.

4.) Lower yourself as far as you can control without letting your body shift towards your toes.

5.) Pause in the downward position and slowly return upright to the starting position.

6.) Repeat for as many reps and sets as desired.
